Hidden in Plain Sight
Welcome to the third round of Shinnou Academy's Unlock Events. This round will be similar the first unlock event, where each team's progress will not be dependent on another and each team can start and end at their own pace. Some team's scenario may be directly connected to another's, but all Unlock channels will be accessible for everyone to read.
Your starter prompts are already prepared, so please discuss with your teammates about when you would all like to start! Read everything below carefully.
If you have any questions about the mechanics, please direct it to the questions channel. If your question is plot-related and can be considered a spoiler, please DM Chise.
Information about each location's status will be updated here.

General Rules
- First and foremost, please ensure to make time to respond to your teams so that we can all finish in the allotted time of 2-3 weeks.
- Each team’s starting and end routes may differ. Different things will happen in each scenario that are made to fit the character’s personalities, ability, and talents, but the theme of each one is the same and all are connected.
- Each route starts at a different location. Please check your team’s starting post that will be pinned to the chat to know yours.
- By participating in this event, you are agreeing to allow the possibility of your character getting hurt or injured. Main or Non-playable character deaths will not occur during this unlock event. However, please note that not every route will require its participant to engage in battles.
- The teams will face different adversities, but please use this chance to allow your character development along with developing their new skill. It does not have to be used during the RP, but the goal of unlock events are character development and possible skill enhancement. By pushing your characters to their limits (physically or mentally), they should be able to find new ways of using their coeurs.
- To those who wish to develop and use their new skills during their RPs, keep in mind it would probably activate their contrecoeur due to their lack of understanding about that skill yet, resulting their difficulty to control it.
Roleplaying Guidelines
- Please keep your posts limited to 1-2 paragraphs UNLESS your character actually has a lot of important things to say. While we would like to give a lot of creative freedom for our enthusiastic writers, please do not hold up the progress with too much of inner monologue that might not have any impact on the currently unfolding plot. We advise you to save the monologues for your aftermath summaries!
- Please make sure to tag the person that’s supposed to post after you in order to notify them that it’s their turn and to make sure they notice it!
- You are allowed to skip members if necessary as long as you have mutual agreements, but do refrain from asking to be skipped too much. Please discuss about skipping methods with your teammates.
- You can also opt for script or HC methods to progress through your unlock event. Don't feel inclined to write as much as your teammates.
- Try to not not drag the RP out for too long. We know that 2 weeks is a short time considering how busy everyone is, and we hope that everyone wouldn’t be exhausted by the end of the RP event as well.
- As for this unlock, the team’s progress are independent from other teams' progress unless specified. In case of the latter, please understand that your team may have to remain on standby and be patient until they are prompted to for their next option.
- Always make use of waiting time in other ways, such as talking and getting to know your teammates better! Who knows, you might gain something really significant for your character development this way!
- In fight scenes and whatnot, make sure that the other muns are comfortable if you plan to do anything dramatic or major actions/interactions such as fights and arguments. If you are unsure, always ask first, and try not to take it too far.
For the Non-Unlock Participants/Characters
We understand that this event will also affect others regardless if they did not sign up for the unlock event. You are free to HC (or rp somewhere) your character’s reaction as the whole event unfolds. The key developments of the event will be announced to keep everyone updated on the direness of the situation in certain locations.
Locations that are off limits for non-unlock characters during lockdown:
- Observatory - The observatory isn’t really holding any event in particular for the festival, so it is supposedly closed for visitors during this period
- Theatre - Only scheduled performances were held in this building and its halls, so there were no reason for people to hang around here other than the Middle School students who held most of their class performances there and were probably cleaning up!
- PS/GS building - The events in this place finished during late afternoon since the preschool and grade school students were dismissed earlier than the rest of the student body!
Notable locations non-unlock characters can be in during lockdown:
- Cafeteria - available for any non-unlock characters (MC or NPCs alike), as it is a common place for meals
- Dormitory - available for non-unlock students, as it is a common resting place
- Greenhouse - for Caneles only, as there are limited entries for the maze participants!
- Kitchen Building - Most Fraisiers may be here unless they are relieved of their shift at the time, otherwise it was also open to all customers
- Underground Training Facility - Most Montblancs would be here unless they were relieved of their duty during the time, otherwise it was open for all participants
- Middle & High School Building - A general place for your batchmates to be at, especially when they needed to fetch some back-up props or supplies for their class
- Palais de Coeurs - Some cafes and booths were opened in this building, and it is also a common place for the Lost and Found
